Summer started for my on the 2nd and even though it's only been five days I'm already sick of being at home. It's a first world problem to be sure; getting to stay at home for an extended period of time without having to worry about work or money -- but that doesn't mean I'm not bored. I've applied all over town for a summer job, but I haven't had any leads yet. I had an interview with a western clothing store but I had to cancel it to avoid missing a final. I also went in for an interview at Taco Bell, but I was denied the position because the manager wasn't looking to hire just for the summer. I had actually listed on the application that I was only looking for temporary work, so it bothered me a bit that he even scheduled the interview. Oh well.
I've got an interview coming up in a few days so we'll see how that goes. It's at a local grocery store that happens to have a branch of my bank in it, so it would be convenient working there.
Anyway I live out in the country, so internet access is really bad. The scenery is beautiful, but I really wish I could watch youtube videos or even just have a gif load on reddit.
It's almost Blackberry season, so I imagine I'll end up spending a lot of time picking them.
How is summer for you guys so far?
